Lonely Nights

Lonely nights

Busy days

Drowning in work

To ignore what is missing

Cold winter nights

Spent cuddling alone

No one to call your own

The all too familiar feeling

Spending the days

Living in your own world

Afraid to face reality

Afraid to fall into desperation

Nights spent in bars

Absorbing the atmosphere around

Only to leave and return

To the emptiness overflowing home

Random chats and endless battles

Internal dialogue taking over

The mind playing tricks

To make these days more bearable

So, stare at the walls tonight

Keep waiting for your one to appear

Be open to the warmth

That comes along with loving embrace
